Welcome to Central Baptist Church!
We value family, community, and you!
Our Vision
Central Baptist Church serves our local Community by Supporting the following:
Local Food banks – Supporting Kerr Street Mission and Fare Share Oakville Food Bank with volunteers and financial support.
Home Suite Home – We support this local charity which helps people obtain an education, housing and become self sufficient.
Camp Kwasind Summer Camp – We support Camp Kwasind with ongoing financial donations, as well as having our members participate in maintaining the camp. Camp Kwasind is a summer camp for children and families, located on beautiful Skeleton Lake in Muskoka. Our church supports Camp Kwasind with volunteers from our church working on projects at the camp each year to keep it in good shape, as well as volunteering their time at the camp. All are welcome to join in on the Camp Kwasind work project weekends. All families and children are welcome to register for this Christian summer camp that we have been supporting for over 40 years. www.kwasind.com
Food Drives – We have an Easter and Thanksgiving food drive to support local food banks. We inquire as to what the needs are and let everyone know what they can donate to help those with food insecurity.
Samaritan’s Purse – We put together care packages to send children all over the world for Christmas. Known as "Operation Christmas Child", the gift boxes are distributed by Samaritan’s Purse, and the recipients have an opportunity to learn about Jesus. Please come to Central Baptist Church to get a box to fill up and return to church every October.
Christmas Charity Support – In 2022 we donated to Fare Share Oakville Food Bank from the donations collected at our Christmas Carol Concert. Please join us each December for a wonderful night of Christmas music and refreshments afterwords.
Gamblers Anonymous - We offer this organization a place to meet each week in our building and we prayerfully support those struggling with this heartbreaking addiction.
Beanies for Babies - Our "Beanies For Babies" program is an opportunity to gather together at Central Baptist Church in a friendly atmosphere to knit hats for new-born babies at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. As well, the the CBC knitting group will also be knitting "prayer shawls" for people in hospice care. For more information, please send an email to office@cbcoakvillle.ca, providing your name and contact information, so that someone from the knitting group can contact you.
Halton Women's Place - In June 2024, we hosted a concert ("The Music of McCartney") performed by our Worship Director, Christopher Clause and the proceeds raised from the show went towards Halton Women's Place, which serves women, children and families broken by domestic abuse. We hope to continue to raise funds for the organization in the future.
We are a diverse group of people from all walks of life drawn together by Jesus and his message of restoration for the world. Join us on Sunday morning at 10:00 for our weekly service. Don’t worry about what to wear, just come as you are.
